Our Mission

Our mission is to champion African families by providing accessible, culturally informed, and anti-racist support that empowers parents to navigate the UK with confidence. We aim to reduce the number of African children entering the child protection or foster care system by offering meaningful early help, creating bridges between families and services, and promoting better understanding on all sides.

We believe in collaboration over isolation, empowerment over judgement, and equity over assimilation. Our work supports families to advocate for themselves, engage positively with services, and build nurturing environments where their children can grow, succeed, and belong.

Parenting Support

We host weekly in-person and online workshops for African parents navigating UK parenting expectations. These sessions create a safe, culturally informed space to learn about safeguarding laws, positive parenting, communication, community resources, and navigating cultural differences.

Our workshops also provide opportunities for parents to connect with one another, reduce isolation, and collaborate with professionals and community leaders in a supportive environment.

Our befriending service supports African families who are involved with children’s services or the family court and may be experiencing isolation, uncertainty, or mistrust of statutory systems. Families are matched with trained volunteers who offer: contact us.
